MINUTES OF AGM - WEDNESDAY 24th SEPTEMBER 2025

Kate: Thanked everyone for attending. Thanked the Bell for hosting.

Roll call to ensure all teams present which they were.

Thanked everyone for a great season which ran smoothly and with no problems. Thanked everyone for attending the knock out competitions and to all venues for hosting. Thanked teams for sending results promptly and thanked Dave Sage for uploading them and for the tremendous website and all his hard work.

Roy: Treasurer’s report and thanked Julian for the trophies. Shields / trophies to be signed for before taking at end of meeting. If not signed out, they will remain with Roy or Carl. Some missing trophies (8 from winter season) which we are looking to get sorted.

Balance at end of season - £1203.97, trophies £915, kitty £288. Subs remain the same - £50, to be paid at end of meeting. Envelope has team reg sheet and enough results sheets for all season, but everything is on website anyway.

Kate: It was voted and agreed that the postponement score would rise to 12-0 from the previous 11-0. Can be reviewed at the end of the season.

Everyone voted and agreed they would be happy for someone to set up social media platforms for the league, such as Facebook, Instagram.

Carl: The website is in the process of being updated.

It was discussed whether a committee member should be present at the knockout competitions, but agreed that the captain of the venue will be sufficient. Knock out cup final will always be held at a neutral venue. Advance notice of competition attendees doesn’t always work. Venues will not be told it is mandatory to provide food at cup competitions.

The need for safeguarding and welfare officers was discussed, but it was agreed that this is not necessary.

Venue suitability for knockout competitions was discussed – there is not much room at the second board at the Borough.

The venue for Finals Night will be discussed and voted on nearer the time. The AGM doesn’t have to be held at the same venue as Finals Night.

Kate: REMINDERS… Rules will not be changed mid-season and will be adhered to.

No allowances for postponements unless bad weather and ALL fixtures postponed.

Rules are on website, as is all the paperwork for knockout draws, results and reg sheets etc. Must play 3 league games a season to qualify for knockout competitions. Must send photo of results to WhatsApp group and photo of signing on sheet and draw at knock out comps.

No new signings after half way point, no exceptions, reminder will be sent out.

Committee: Venues for competitions chosen on suitability (2 good boards with plenty of space) and proximity to each other.

Committee stood down. Pete Roffey was not present so could not be voted back on the committee. It was unanimously agreed for the rest of the committee to remain.
